Council has an opportunity for a motivated Labourer to join the Town Maintenance crew Goondiwindi on a permanent full time basis.

The role is to provide labour in maintenance of parks and gardens, cemeteries, aerodrome, playing fields, trees and landscaping.

To be successful in this position you will have: 
The ability to perform a board range of tasks requiring developed industry skills. 
The ability to perform physical labouring tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain plant/ machinery consistent with qualifications held.
Contribute to a work environment that values the contributions made by staff, that is healthy and safe, free of discrimination and which seeks to attract and retain quality staff.

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:-

General Construction Induction White/Blue Card
Qld Car licence Essential (Truck licence desired)
Experience in the operation and maintenance of small plant including power tools and equipment used for general maintenance tasks.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Industry Award - State 2017 and Council's Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.

Pay Level - Stream B - Level 2 $55,517.80 pa.
*applicable allowances including overtime payable when worked

Status - permanent full time.
Hours of work - 38 hours per week
                               19 day month (Rostered day off)

Employment Base - Goondiwindi
